Milwaukee North Shore Rotary Service above self is now a monthly recognition of two exemplary students from each of our area High Schools.
Each month during the school year, we ask that the identified school select two students based on the following criteria:
1) commitment to community, based on engagement (ideally, leadership) in service group/activities where he/she volunteers his/her time.
2) impeccable character, based on track record of integrity, honesty, reliability, and accountability
3) high academic potential, based on classroom performance
The selected students will receive $50 cash award and $50 cash gift to the charity of their choice. We believe this positive recognition for your students, your school, and this program will motivate further engagement in such commendable activities.
For this year, since we are starting midyear, we will have the following schedule of Recognition:
February 2024 Brown Deer HS and Dominican HS
March 2024 Homestead HS and Messmer HS
April 2024 Nicolet HS and Shorewood HS
May 2024 USM HS and Whitefish Bay HS
