At our meeting on June 9th, 2025 we heard from Curt Gielow about CUVENTURES.  This organization brings together entrepreneurs and investors. Many of innovators are tied to Concordia University. 
  

Curt Gielow

In 2019 Curt Gielow retired as Campus Chief Executive of Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Now semi-retired Curt does some healthcare, senior living industry and higher education consulting through Gielow Ventures, LLC. Concurrently he also serves as Executive VP and Director of CU Ventures, the entrepreneurial entity established for the commercialization of the creations, inventions and ideas of the Concordia University faculty as well as other related entities. He is the principal organizer of the Concordia Angel Network.

Gielow attended the St. Louis College of Pharmacy (BS) and Washington University (Masters) in St. Louis. In 2019 He received an Honorary Doctorate from Concordia University in Ann Arbor, MI.

Curt served 13 years in public office, four of those as our State Representative in the Wisconsin State Legislature. He also spent nine years in municipal government serving as an alderman and Mayor of the City of Mequon, WI.

During the period 2008-2013, Curt served as the Founding Dean of the Concordia University School of Pharmacy in Mequon, WI where he led the effort to raise the funds to establish, organize and start Wisconsin's second school of pharmacy.
